AUST. WOOL EXPORTS
Boycott by Sydney men (N.Z.P.A -Reuter —Copy right! SYDNEY, November 5. Storemen at Sydney's wool-selling centres have voted to continue their boycott of the handling of export wool. Mr C. R. Brown, the secretary of the Wool Selling Broker’s Association, said that he expected the Commonwealth Arbitration Commission to call a hearing for Monday to hear the employers’ case. The storemen are demanding an over-award payment of $2O a week, a 35-hour week, a one-third increase in their annual leave and longservice leave payments, and full pay when on workers’ compensation. Their ban applies to all wool stores in Sydney, which means that no wool can moved for shipment overseas.
