New soccer coach
A 28-year-old Englishman, Bruce McDonald, has been appointed player-coach by the New Brighton soccer club. He will take over his duties next month. McDonald, a defender, has been player-coach of one of England’s leading amateur clubs, Walthamstow Avenue, as well as being with Eastbourne United and West Ham United He is a full-time coach with the Inner London Education Authority and has also coached and played in the United States, McDonald, a bachelor, will be on a two-year contract with New Brighton.
