Ambassador to Egypt

Sir Philip Adams, a senior British career diplomat who was born in Wellington, New Zealand, will be Britain’s new Ambassador to Egypt, the Foreign Office has announced in London. He will succeed Sir Richard Beaumont, who will be retiring from the Diplomatic Service. Sir Philip Adams, aged 56, will take up his new post next January, when Sir Richard Beaumont leaves Cairo,
