PRODUCTION FOREMEN REFINER GROUNDWOOD PULPMILL CARTER OJI KOKUSAKU PAN PACIFIC, LTD is a joint venture company currently building an integrated Sawmill-Refiner Groundwood Pulpmill complex at Whirinaki, near Napier. The sawmill is a 40 million board feet mill while the pulpmill at this first stage is rated at 400 tons per day, with an expansion in 1975 to 600 tons per day. The Production Foreman will be responsible to the Pulpmill Superintendent for all Pulpmill operating settings, personnel training, direct supervision and personnel safety. The position will involve taking part in a fourshift roster and supervising all operations from chip handling through to the baled flash dried pulp leaving the mill. The persons seeking these positions should have had supervisory training and experience preferably in the Pulp and Paper Industry, although persons with other operating, production or engineering backgrounds will not be excluded from consideration. It is envisaged that these appointments will be made in November for a March 1 start up.
