COMMITTEE OF INQUIRY INTO THE DISTRIBUTION OF MEAT, FISH, FRUIT AND VEGETABLES Fruit and Vegetables The inquiry committee has confirmed its hearing schedule for the period ending November 17, 1972. This hearing schedule is confined to fruit and vegetables and is as follows: Tuesday, November 7—Mr A. A. Currey, 10 a.m.; Mr J. L. Clayton; Mr S. Francis. Wednesday, November B—Canterbury Fruit Advisory Committee, 9.30 a.m.; Hawke’s Bay Fruitgrowers’ Association; Federation of Voluntary and Cooperative Groups; Nelson Fruit Advisory Committee. Thursday, November 9 — Mr K. Simpson, 9.30 a.m.; Public Service Association. Thursday, November 16—Retail Fruiterers’ Federation, 10 a.m.; N.Z. Railways Department, 2.15 p.m. Friday, November 17—Supermarket Chains Association, 9.30 a.m.; Les I. Russell, Ltd. Hearings on November 7 will be held on the eighth floor, Commerce House, 126 Wakefield Street, Wellington. Hearing dates for these organisations will be set when consumer and financial surveys being made for the inquiry committee are available. A final hearing date will be arranged to give all those participating in the inquiry an opportunity to make brief supplementary submissions should they wish to do so.
