Value: $l3OO a year, plus a return sea passage. An additional grant of up to $2OO a year may be paid to a married person with dependents. Tenure: Up to two years. THE CATHEDRAL GRAMMAR SCHOOL CHRISTCHURCH The Cathedral Grammar School is a boys’ school, established 1881. It has a maximum roll of 270; primers to Form 111. There are vacancies at some class levels for 1973. The School offers full and varied academic and extracurricular programmes with provision for individual needs and abilities. Classes are small, remedial and enrichment courses are given by expert staff. A good library, specialist staff and rooms for Science, Art and Foreign Languages are available. The School has a wide range of cultural and sporting activities; as well as the normal team sports there are clubs which include the teaching of bridge, chess, cooking, drama, gymnastics, ice skating, judo, squash, philately, table tennis, tramping, etc. Tuition is given in speech, string and brass instruments and in the piano Aquatic activities (swimming, life-saving and water polo) use the School’s heated pool.
