Big haul recovered
(From. Our Own Reporter) NELSON, November 3. A large quantity of goods (clothing and drapery), and a small quantity of cash, have been recovered by the Nelson C. 1.8. during inquiries into a series of burglaries in Nelson in the last two weeks. Two young men. Grant Clinton Johnson, aged 21, a barman, and Peter Bryan Morris, aged 20, a chef, were each charged in the Nelson Magistrate’s Court with breaking and entering McKay’s drapery store on October 31. Morris was also charged with breaking and entering Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd. on October 25. They were remanded on bail to November 7 by Messrs R. Monopoli and F. A. Foote, Justices of the Peace. More charges are pending. y
