Kidney flown from N.Z.
(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) SYDNEY, Nov. 2. A patient was this morning reported to be in a satisfactory condition in Sydney Hospital after a kidnej had been flown from New Zealand for a transplant operation. A hospital spokesman said the recipient of the kidney was now conscious, and progressing satisfactorily. The kidney was the first to be flown to Australia for a transplant, said the spokesman. The operation, performed by a large team of surgeons, began immediately the kidney arrived from New Zealand last night.
