6A acquires building
Final arrangements have now taken place to grant 6A possesion of the Nurse Maude building at 192 Madras Street.
Mr L. M. O’Reilly, chairman of the 6A Committee, said yesterday that purchasing arrangements for the $33,500 building had been completed, and an informal meeting would be held tomorrow for those who had assisted in the activities of 6A.
The building would be inspected, and there would be a discussion on arrangements for opening it, he said. According to Mr O’Reilly, the new headquarters for 6A will have to be open on a small scale initially, but he hopes that by early January there will be accommodation facilities, and an. informal education programme running. He expected the building to be open to the young people of 6A within a fortnight
