Late entry by Lister

The New Zealand professional, J. M. Lister, has made a late entry to the New Zealand Open golf championship. Lister’s entry arrived 90 minutes before the closing time. He was one of 18 golfers who left their entry to the last day. Among the other late entrants were a Welsh professional, D. Llewellyn, and the Eisenhower Cup player, E. J. McDougall. The Open will now be contested by 154 players, of whom 103 are professionals.
