TO FARMERS AND FAT STOCK DRAFTERS Cartage of Stock to Freezing Works and Sales Late Notification of required transport of stock to freezing works and sales in the evening hours and on Sundays is creating great difficulties for transport companies and their drivers. Members of the Christchurch Road Transport Association request the co-operation of all concerned by observing the following arrangements which will apply in the Ellesmere, Malvern, Paparua and Wairewa Counties. ORDERS to be placed by 5 p.m. on day prior to cartage. TALLIES to be advised and stock to be available for cartage not later than 4.30 p.m. on weekdays. FOR SUNDAY CARTAGE: ORDERS to be placed by 5 p.m. Friday. TALLIES to be advised and stock to be available for cartage not later than 1 p.m. on Sunday. Your co-operation Is vital In order to maintain reasonable drivers’ working hours and to retain the services of experi* enced staff in this work.
