Stewart, of Lincoln College, told the wool marketing seminar held by the Can-terbury-Westland branch of the New Zealand Society of Farm Management this week of a farmer in North Canterbury whose pre-lamb shorn wool was dispatched in time to get into store for the August Christchurch wool sale but was by chance delayed in transit. The farmer was perturbed at this but as a result he struck the buoyant October sale, when values were at their highest point for 20 years.
