About 20 North Island horses will compete at the New Zealand Trotting Cup meeting which opens next Tuesday at Addington Raceway. The first of them are expected to arrive by air today from Hamilton. They are Hoover, Precocious, Heroic, Bella’s Command and Montana Gold, which will be accompanied south by Dyak which will contest the New Zealand Cup on Saturday at Ricearton.

Command Performer, Gramatan, Hundred Pipers, Irish Kiwi, Royal Forbes and Easton Light will be flown south tomorrow. Gay Hal, Final Decision, Normandaie, Joe Ninety, Scottish Crusader, Gay Marlene, Scottish Foil and Free Chase are booked to travel by road and eea.
