The top Australian driver, F. Gardner, has won the first British motor racing drivers’ championship. The 41-year-old Gardner collected 92 points in international driving events in Britain this season. The championship is worth $4OOO. The Britons, R. Williamson and B. Redman, were second and third. G. Mcßae (New Zealand) finished fifth.
Boxing.—Bobby Arthur, of Coventry, has become the new British welter-weight boxing champion. He won the title against John Stracey (London).
