TARANAKI MUSEUM BOARD ASSISTANT DIRECTOR APPLICATIONS, closing at noon on December 1, 1972, are invited to fill the position of Assistant Director to the Taranaki Museum Board. The salary shall be according to qualifications and experience and shall be within the range of $4350 to $4500 p.a. Preference will be given to an applicant who has recently graduated in the field of anthropology or allied fields or in New Zealand history. The director must retire in one year’s time. It does not follow thaat the person appointed Assistant Director will be automatically appointed Director. Should the successful applicant, however, prove capable, there is no reason why favourable consideration should not be given to advancement to the senior position on retirement of the present director.
