Two meals carried
The Qantas airline’s flight kitchen at Sydney will be responsible for providing meals on both legs of SydneyCBristchurch flights when the airline begins on December 3 a Boeing 747 jumbo jet serservice across the Tasman.
The food galleys are in capsule form. On the way to Christchurch, a galley containing lunch will be used, and on the way back to Sydney another galley containing dinners will be in use. Both galleys will be loaded and unloaded at Sydney. The Christchurch manager of Qantas (Mr R. A. Perrier) said yesterday that public interest in travelling in the 747 was growing, and that now the timetable was known many were specifying accom modation on this aircraft
Although the first 747 ser vice out of Christchurch on December 3 was not yet fully booked, Mr Perrier was confident that it would be by departure date.
