A. Jenkins, with 104 for Sheffield, had the best batting performance in tile Malvern subassociation’s cricket competition on Saturday. There were also two fine bowling performances by A. Wright (Sheffield) who took seven for 33. and B. Butcher (Darficld Seniors), with seven for 40. Results were:—
Darfield Seniors 175 (R Farrant 51 T. Gillin 47; T. Farrant 5/56, B.‘ Woolford 4/471. Darfield 157 (P. Jerram 58, Woolford 28, E. Frew 22; Butcher 7/40). South Malvern 74 <A. Clucas 25; A. Wright 7/33), Sheffield 195/5 (Jenkins 104, N. Wright 25, Q. Wright 20 n. 0.; A. Armstrong 3/26). Tile following match was played on Sunday—Darfield Senors 179 and 145 IS. Rowley 21 n. 0., G. Low 24. T. Wall 26, G. Dawson 22; C. Chapman 4/54), beat Greendale 187/3 and 100 (B. Ridgen 21; Wall 5/38) by 38 runs.
