EYE SPY
(By David Richmond) Don’t miss these “Festival Hoffnung,” with the Symphonia of Auckland under the baton of Juan Matteucci. A treat for devotees of the illogical and the unpredictable in music as in other things. The “Survey” programme, “Is It Best For Us?” A carefully research, well-scripted, and ably produced programme. (But must Dr Sutch always be the expert-in-residence?) “The Last Victim,” by Leo Knowles, in “Thirty-Minute Theatre,” which maintains the high standards expected of this series. Also recommended: “Frost Over America” (the interview with Lucille Ball and Carol Burnett); “The Bill Cosby Show” (new series); “Z Cars” (“The Other Arm of the Law”).
