M.S.D.-Spiers dividend up
(N.Z. Press Association) M.S.D.-Speirs, Ltd, reports that turnover for the six months to September 30 was 20 per cent higher than in the corresponding period of last year. Craigwin Developments. Ltd, was acquired by the company during September, 1971, and its figures are in-, eluded. They also show a considerable increase. A substantial volume of orders for forward delivery is held and it is expected that this trend will continue throughout the year. In view of this increase in I turnover and the resultant profitability, the directors propose, subject to the consent of the Dividend Appeals Committee, to pay an interim dividend of 7c a share (7 per cent) on November 30, ex dividend November 2. Last year, the company paid an interim dividend of 6 per cent.
