TEST BAN SUPPORT
f.V.Z.P. A.-Reuter— Copyright) BLANTYRE. Malawi, October 30. Australian and New Zealand delegates received widespread support from other participants at the Commonwealth Parliamentary conference last week for their criticism of France’s nuclear tests in the Pacific Ocean. Most of the 60 delegates in the committee discussing pollution condemned the recent French nuclear tests, the Australian and New Zealand delegates also calling for a total ban on nuclear testing. The Western Samoa delegate (Mr Suivai Ulugia) asked the committee to consider the question of rubbish in the Pacific. “We are asked to look after the garbage from the Western world washed up on our beaches,” Mr Ulugia said.
