Trade deal reported

(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright)

TOKYO, Oct. 30

Japan and China have signed a trade agreement for next year totalling about SNZIOOm in both ways. The Japanese news agency, Kyodo, reports from Peking that although details of the agreement have not been disclosed, Japan’s exports to China will include steel, machinery, ammonium sulphate, and urea, and she will import soy beans, maize, and coking coal.

The “memorandum” trade that began 10 years ago and has been the main channel between the two countries, will be replaced by a governmental one from next year, the two countries having now established diplomatic ties.
