AUST. WOOL CHEAPER
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Oct. 30. Merino wools were 10c per kilo cheaper at today’s Melbourne wool sale, compared with closing levels in other centres last week. Finer types were least affected. Crossbred and carding wool values were fully 10c lower, medium and broad lines being the most affected. There was good competition for the 15,584 bales on offer, East and West Europe emerging as the main buyers, supported by Japan.
