Mrs D. I. Radley has been elected president of the Canterbury Justices of the Peace Association. Messrs W. H. Gendall and H. Cordery, and Miss J. Taylor have been elected to the association’s council. Mr A. L. Coleman, a member of the Paparua County Council, was yesterday appointed by the council’s rural district council to fill the rural Paparua seat vacancy on the Central Canterbury Electric Power Board, caused by the death of Mr L T. Griffith,
