Infestations of nassella
He had visited 20 properties to search for nassella tussock, involving 10,760 acres and 89 man hours, the noxious weeds inspector (Mr R. F. Forsythe) reported to a meeting of the Paparua County Council’s rural districts council yesterday. He said he had found fairly heavy infestation on three properties, including that of the Canterbury Aero Club at West Melton. Odd scattered plants had been found on most of the other properties. “Nassella is now back under control and will remain this way,” he said. “Owners and occupiers have been instructed to pay strict attention to this problem.”
