“Fashion at Azalea time,” was the theme of a fashion parade held by the Christchurch-Canter-bury Zonta Club at the University of Canterbury Staff Club at Ham on Saturday evening. The proceeds of the parade will be for the furnishing of the Burwood Motel units of die Paraplegic Rehabilitation Hostel. About 150 attended, and specially invited guests
were the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr N. G. Pickering), and Mrs Pickering. One of the garments modelled, shown with a guest, the Minister of Broadcasting and Tourism (Mr Walker), was a copy of a lime-green gown worn recently by Mrs Sonia McMahon, the wife of the Australian Prime Minister. The fashions were from Tonee Travel.
