Film drama
John Payne and Evelyn Keyes star in an actionpacked drama about a former boxer-taxi driver who is framed for the murder of his wife.
To clear himself, he has to bring in the real killer, and aiding him in his efforts is an aspiring actress he befriends at the local drug store. Phil Karlson directed the film, which was made in 1953.
“99 River Street,” a United Artists film, screens from CHTV3 next Friday.
