Graham tied for first place in the Australian Open golf championship yesterday with seven-under-par totals of 281. They will decide the title in a play-off over 18 holes today. Graham started the final round one stroke ahead of Thomson, with an over-night total of 210. While Thomson had a 70, Graham could manage only 71. M. Bembridge (Britain), with a five-under total of 283 finished third, followed by P. Oosterhuis, also Britain, who equalled the course record of 68 yesterday and finished on 284. Then came two more Australians, B. Crampton and G. Marsh, with 286. The New Zealander, T. Kendall, who had set the record in the first round and had then led by two strokes, finished on 289, with further rounds of 74, 77, 70. He was equal eighth.
