WELLINGTON, Oct. 26. New Zealand would contribute $45,000 in ’ three annual instalments to the United Nations fund for drug abuse control, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Sir Keith Holyoake) today. The fund, established in 1971, is designed to finance activities under the United Nations plan for concerted action against drug abuse. Sir Keith Holyoake said that the Government’s decision to contribute to the fund reflected its concern to encourage international activity aimed at curbing the alarming spread of drug trafficking and drug abuse from which no country was immune.
