Body found
The body of Kenneth Mason Butler, a 30-year-old married man, one of two Ashburton men drowned while whitebaiting at the mouth of the Rakaia River during the week-end, was discovered near the Rakaia mouth yesterday morning by the police. The body of William Fegan. aged 24, single has not yet been discovered and search parties will continue to look for his body today. Mr Butler was a prominent Ashburton sportsman and was a regular member of the Ashburton representative cricket team for about 10 years. He also played Rugby and table tennis.
