WOMEN IN CAMPAIGN.—Senator George McGovern, the American Democratic Party candidate for the Presidency, recently announced the appointment of women to his campaign staff. Three of the women, who were with Senator McGovern when he made his announcement in Washington, are (from right) Congresswoman Bella Abzug, the actress, Shirley MacLaine, both co-chair women of the McGovern-Shriver national advisory committee, and Ann Martindell, a deputy campaign director.
