THE EXECUTIVE OF TOWN HALL PROMOTION (INC.) expresses its sincere appreciation to the Citizens, Organisations and Business Houses of Christchurch, Canterbury and New Zealand for their generous support over the period of nearly fifteen years since this Society was established. Because of this wonderful backing, we have achieved our principal objective in seeing a Town Hall built for Christchurch, and we have also been able to demonstrate public endorsement of the project by raising approximately $500,000 to reduce the cost to ratepayers. Permanent acknowledgement of donations made is to be made in the Town Hall in the following form:— (1) Gifts of $lOO or more — a name plaque affixed to a seat in the main Auditorium. (2) Gifts off $2 or more — name of donor recorded in the Donors' Book located in the entrance Foyer. Town Hall Promotion (Inc) will remain in legal existance to receive any further gifts or bequests made under wills. The project qualifies for tax exemption for personal gifts and legacies may be made free of Estate Duty liability.
