Town Hall
Several gifts to the Christchurch Town Hall Fund have been received this week. They include the following:
Misses Nicola and Natasha Hay, in memory of their grandparents, $100; Mr and Mrs T. I. Smail, $100; Mr R. C. Webb, $100; Mrs R. M. A. Lloyd, $100; Mr F. Dobby, $100; Mrs L. Leeming, $100; Misses J. M. and R. D, Herbison, $100; Mrs James Hay (Pigeon Bay), $25; Mrs I. M. Cree, $25; Miss C. S. Cree, $5O.
The chairman of the Town Hall Committee (Cr H. G. Hay), in announcing the gifts yesterday, said that one of $l5O for the Keith Newson Memorial Steinway Piano Fund had been received from the Canterbury Womens’ Club, the money having been raised at a recent musical evening.
