The New Zealand Co-operative Pig Marketing Association Ltd Fortieth Year of Operations AT THE ANNUAL General Meeting of the Company held in Auckland on September 28, 1972, the Chairmain warmly welcomed a fully representative meeting of shareholders from all areas in the North and South Islands serviced by the Company and its subsidiaries. - In keeping with past procedures, the customary course was followed in the presentation of detailed reports on all branches of the company’s operations, arising from which special mention was made of the following features in the year’s trading results. The combined turnover of the company and its wholly owned subsidiaries totalled $14,187,415, while the volume of Livestock handled comprising pigs, bobby calves and dairy cattle, numbered 471,819 head. The year’s trading surplus for distribution by way of final payment to suppliers of all classes of livestock handled, amounted to $470,991, while paid up capital now stands at $734,513 and shareholders’ funds at over $3,000,000.
