All sectors easier on Sydney exchange
All sectors were easier on the Sydney exchanges yesterday. B.H.P. reached its lowest price this year and other industrial issues were depressed. Most mining issues, were also weaker and oils continued to show heavy losses.
B.H.P. fell to its new low of the year with a 25c drop
to 1085 c and Philip Morris was down 10c at 1550 c. E.Z, Industries also lost 10c at 395 c.
Brewers were depressed with Tooheys down 12c at 258 c, Tooths down 5c at 395 c and Swan down 2c at 240 c. C.U.B. also lost 5c at 470 c. Western Mining fell 13c to 275 c, Peko-Walsend lost 10c at 920 c and B.H. South fell 8c to 252 c. Others to fall included Hamersley, Metals Exploration and Robe River. Bougainville, moved against the trend with a 4c gain to 256 c and C.R.A gained 2c at 642 c. Oils were weak. Woodside was down 10c at 245 c and Magellan 5c at 125 c. Ampol Eploration, however, gained 2c at 117 c.
