Nurses drop roster
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 27. Psychiatric nurses will drop their own system of shifts and rosters on October 2 as a prelude to new talks with the Government. At a meeting in Wellington the nurses’ representatives agreed to a proposal from the Minister of Health (Mr Adams-Schnei-der), aimed at getting talks. They will work a 40-hour week, consisting of eighthour 35-minute shifts, between October 2 and October 20. If no progress is being made in negotiations by then they will consider further action.
