(N.Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON, Sept. 27. The Commission of Inquiry into Meat, Fish, Fruit and Vegetables, which was intended to report to the Government at the end of this month, will not report until April 30 next year. The delay has resulted from wide public interest, said the Minister of Transport (Mr Gordon) in Parliament replying to a question from Mr W. L. Young (Nat., Miramar). On behalf of the Minister, of Industries and Commerce (Mr Taiboys), Mr Gordon said that the inquiry would hear submissions early next month. A survey into consumer habits had also been commissioned.
