Miss Goolagong was threatened with expulsion from future Australian tournaments if she played in two New Zealand tournaments last December, including one in ChristchunSb
The L.T.A.A. wanted her to stay at home and play for much less money in two state titles, which clashed with the New Zealand tournaments. This season. Miss Goolagong will play in four titles, but her manager-coach, Mr V. Edwards, said yesterday that everything was clear for Miss Goolagong to play in New Zealand. “There will be no trouble —the tournments do not clash,” he added.
