The All Blacks’ planned Rugby match in Belfast on November 18 might depend on an earlier visit to the Northern Ireland capital by Lancashire on October 14.
The Lancashire county committee is not in favour of making the trip, but a final decision has yet to be made. And Ulster officials are trying to secure the first game by inviting Lancastrians to inspect security arrangements in Belfast.
