Pollard in XI named
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The Christchurch United linkman, V. Pollard, replacing the injured B. Turner, is the only change in the New Zealand soccer team to play New Caledonia at Newmarket Park, Auckland, on Saturday. Turner suffered a dislocated shoulder in the first test at the Basin Reserve on September 17. Pollard, who was not considered for that match because he does not play competitive sport on Sundays, is the best man to replace Turner. Both are creative linkmen with the ability to place accurate, long passes. The team is: J. Morris, A. Sibley, M. Ferguson, I. Hastie, M. Tillotson, Pollard, A. Vest (captain), D. Tindall, A. Marley, D. Taylor, I. Ormond. Substitutes: K. Curtin, P. Cameron, Turner, W. Fleet, G. Branch
