Limited is a subsidiary of Mylex Corporation Limited, Australia’s leading plastics organisation. In New Zealand it is linked with Alex Harvey Industries Limited and A S. Paterson & Co. Limited. The association with these companies has provided technical and financial backing that has made Nylex Products New Zealand's largest producer of PVC coated substrates, film and sheeting for the automotive, furniture, flooring, footwear, luggage and industrial markets. THE POSITION A reorganisation of the sales function has resulted in the creation of a new position of Marketing Manager. The incumbent will be directly responsible to the New Zealand General Manager for successfully marketing all elements of the total product range. He will do this by preparing and implementing marketing and profitability plans. Reporting to the Marketing Manager will be the sales managers and ancillary sales staff in Christchurch. Wellington and Auckland. (Manufacturing and warehousing facilities are located in the two latter cities.) He will also be responsible for the development of export sales in the Pacific area. THE MAN The Company is seeking a man with a high level of managerial skill who possesses the analytical and creative ability to recognise and develop market opportunities. Successful marketing experience at a managerial level is essential. It is also desirable although not essential that he have a good knowledge of polymer products and some tertiary education.
