THE BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATION has sent to nearly 5000 former employees this set of three mint stamps issued by the British Post Office to mark the corporation’s fiftieth anniversary. The B.B.C. has a staff of 23,000 and, because of the large number of former employees scattered round the world, it has not been possible to arrange a reunion in London. In a covering letter the B.B.C. thanks former staff for their contribution to the corporation’s growth and says that it thinks of all of them “as still members of the old firm.”
