Missing man found
(N.Z.PA.-Reuter— BELFAST, Sept. 26. Mr Waldo Maguire, the British Broadcasting Corporation official in Ulster who had been reported missing 24 hours earlier, was found yesterday, lying on the edge of a lake in County Donegal, across the border in the Irish Republic. He was taken to a hospital in Ballyshannon where his condition is described as satisfactory. He was suffering from exposure, and is thought to have had a seizure.
Mr Maguire, who is 52, disappeared after going on a fishing trip, and an intensive police hunt was launched because it was thought that he had been kidnapped by Irish extremists.
In January, 1965, Mr Maguire was seconded by the 8.8. C. to advise the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation on television news and current affairs programmes.
He returned to New Zealand early this year. and spent four' weeks, advising the N.Z.B.C. on colour television and taking a brief fishing holiday.
