fN.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) LONDON, Sept. 20.

A “flying dart” rifle developed by a Timaru firm has been chosen for a deer-catch-ing exhibition to be given in Britain on October 8 to members of the British Deer Society. The rifle, developed by Paxarm, Ltd, of Timaru, fires' long-range syringes filled with a drug which temporar-i ily knocks out the deer.

Mr V. J. A. Manton, curator of the Whipsnade Zoo, said it was a very useful weapon in the hands of an expert.
