Special TV coverage
Three special sports telecasts will be shown On CHTV3 within the next few days. After the late news tonight, viewers will be able to watch a delayed screening of the Empire light welterweight title bout between J. Santos (New Zealand) and J. Tetteh (Ghana). Tomorrow evening, a film of the world speedway championship, which was won by the Christchurch rider, I. Mauger, will be shown in place of the programme, “Mannix,” and on Saturday afternoon the second replay of the Chatham Cup soccer final between Christchurch United and Mount Wellington will be relayed live from Auckland.
The boxing title bout will be broadcast live on the commercial radio network tonight, reports the Press Association.
