Death of player
A Rugby player who was flown to Christchurch after he suffered a spinal injury during a match at New Plymouth on July 15, died in Christchurch Hospital early yesterday afternoon. He was Larry Jeffery, aged 23, married with two children, an extrusion worker, of New Plymouth. Mr Jeffery was paralysed from the waist down by the accident. While he was in hospital his wife gave birth to a son, their second child.
