(Gold Nib — Hernia) THE HORSE WITH THE ALL ROUND STUD RECORD BA brilliant racehorse and sire who has more than held his own in a highly competitive field of New Zealand-bred stallions FOUNTAINHEAD has sired winners of two-year-old races, important handicaps, stakes races, hack events and hurdles. He has proved himself a progenitor of both sprinters and stayers. He is the sire of such well-known performers as Jay Ribbon (Manawatu Cup and Whyte Handicap); Origin, a Trentham and Riccarton winner (second in the recent Whyte Handicap); Alamein (Timaru Cup); Phar Wyn; Gee Tee; Silver Fountain; Silver Head; Coaster; Fountain Gold; and many others, while in Australia he is represented by Fonsagrada, winner of eight races this season, mostly over one mile and a quarter.
