Club will pay driving fees
“The Press” Special Service AUCKLAND. The Morrlnsville Trotting Club w’ill pay all driving fees for nonlearners at its meeting at Cambridge on September 19. Already one of the few clubs to pay a fifth stake for each race Morrinsville is budgeting for the scheme to cost about $lOOO. The secretary (Mr J. Kiely), said yesterday the move maintained the committee's policy of assisting the greatest number of owners possible. Another concession to owners, he said, would be the waiving of entry fees for horses which were withdrawn and allowed ballotedout horses to re-enter the field.
