Management Accountant Applications are invited for the position of Management Accountant to an important manufacturing division of a large New Zealand Public Company. DUTIES: The Management Accountant will be based in Wellington and will report to the General Manager of the Division. Promotional opportunities within the group are considerable. These, however, will depend on ability in performing duties of the following type • Controlling and directing the financial accounting activities of the Division and reporting thereon • Controlling and directing the management account ing activities of the Division which are broad and include forecasting and budgetary control systems • Preparing management reports from the informa tion systems • Controlling the flow of information within the Division, necessitating close liaison with manage ment of the division’s six plants. QUALIFICATIONS: • Membership of the N.Z Society of Accountants is essential and in addition membership of its Cost and Management Division would be desirable • Experience in applying management accounting techniques in an industrial environment is also essential and for this to be sufficiently broad would suggest that applicants will probably be at least 30 years of age. REMUNERATION: The salary is negotiable and is dependent on qualifier tions and experience, but will be appropriate to the responsibilities of the position.
