Road toll 393
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) WELLINGTON, July 21. To noon today, 393 traffic deaths this year had been reported to the Ministry of Transport. At the corresponding time last year the total was 388. The toll this month was 35, compared with 25 at the corresponding time last July. Twenty persons have been killed in road accidents in the greater Christchurch area so far this year, compared with 15 in the same period last year. Four of the deaths occurred this month.
