The yarding was well below trade requirements, although quality was good. I Quality was generally plain in | a yarding of 1660 prime sheep. | Young wethers eased fractionally, but ewes were quoted as being 30c to 40c easier. A yarding of 324 prime cattla ■included a much larger proporIlion of small and light-weight steers. Good quality steers and (heifers were generally firm, but (some of the light-weights were easier. Prices were: Prime lambs—Heavy, to $9 40, I medium. *3 20 to $8.70; light, I $7.40 to $7.96 Prime sheep.—Best young (wethers, to $10; medium. $8 50 to S 9; light. $6.50 to $7 80 Butch I era’ ewes, to $6; medium ewes. $5.20 to $5 60; light ewes. $4 to i* Prime cattle.—Extra heavy steers, to $221; prime heavy. islBo to $200; medium. $l6O to 'sl7s; light. $l4O to $156. Extra lheavv heifers, to $163; prime |heavv, $l4O to $146; medium. $l3O Ito $136; light, $llO to $125.
